Meet the Founders

Leah Lykins
CPO & Cofounder
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
Leah Lykins co-founded WhereWeGo in 2018 to build clear, worker-first tools that make career decisions easier and more motivating. Her product leadership draws on a decade in New Orleans public schools as an environmental science teacher and director of teaching and learning, where she won a network-wide teaching award for data-driven, personalized instruction that helped students chart their own paths. In her time in school leadership, she coached teachers in every major subject area in career and college readiness approaches. Leah blends deep worker user research with behavioral science to design technology that meets people where they are, lowers cognitive load, and sparks agency. Her ecosystem mindset comes from science and education: when information pathways are clear and support systems are strong, people and communities thrive.

Ben Ifshin
CEO & Cofounder

With academic roots in biology and early work in education—where he won a network-wide teaching award centered on his ability to motivate through personal connection—Ben leads with a belief that systems work when people feel seen, supported, and connected. At WhereWeGo, he brings together employers, community organizations, and civic institutions to make career pathways visible and accessible. Ben also serves as a Parks Commissioner in Water Valley, Mississippi and sits on the board of the Yalobusha Greenways Alliance, reflecting his commitment to building strong, interconnected communities online and in the real world.

My favorite thing about working with WWG is that they are true partners. We think through our goals, opportunities, hopes and challenges together and our interests are now intertwined. It's like having a real extension of our team. Also these guys are pretty cool!

WWG is more than just a design firm—they are a true technology partner. Their deep commitment to understanding the real challenges that workers and learners face allows them to craft thoughtful, user-centered solutions that are as effective as they are beautiful. Thanks to WWG’s partnership, SkillUp has been able to create more impactful experiences for our STARs community.
